Best Spot in Kuala Lumpur to Enjoy the View of Petronas Twin Towers

We ate our late lunch at Suria KLCC, the mall standing alongside the world’s tallest twin towers – Petronas Towers. It’s the tallest twin towers in the world, the great landmark of Kuala Lumpur and probably the most pictured buildings in KL both by locals and tourists.

The towers are soaring to a height of 451.9 meters, the 88-storey twin structure. Majestic by day and dazzling at night. It was completed in June 1996 and officially opened by the Prime Minister of Malaysia’s Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad on 1 August 1999.

“ As an internationally recognised landmark, the PETRONAS Twin Towers symbolise the courage, ingenuity, initiative, and determination, energy, confidence, optimism, advancement and zest of a nation. ”
~ Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad Former Prime Minister of Malaysia (1981-2003)

It was a chilly afternoon, a bit drizzling but it didn’t stop us to walk around the park located at the back side of the mall. We enjoyed our steady afternoon at the park and wished we had someone to HHWW (holding hands while walking) with the scenery and the weather, it will be perfect! — hehehehe!

When it’s almost sunset we decided to make a moved and walk towards Traders Hotel Skybar (by Shangri-La) — THE BEST SPOT I am talking about. We hang-out for few hours and then headed to Jalan Alor Night Market to food trip.

While if you’re planning a trip to Kuala Lumpur, here’s my recommended 10 things to do.

  1. Amazing photos. I have been to Kuala Lumpur twice now and have always struggles to get some good shots of the tower because of the angle. I am sure I will pass through KL a few more times whilst living in Asia. Thanks for this post, I can now seek out these spots for some awesome photos.
