Where To Food Trips And Shop In Osaka Japan?

These areas are MUST visit when you are in Osaka, Japan. And equally loved and visited by locals, too.

Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi are the eating and shopping areas. It’s two of the principal tourist destinations in Osaka, Japan.

It’s located around Namba Station. It is the city’s most famous entertainment district and offers abundant dining and shopping choices. The district is easily accessible as it is served by three train companies as well as three subway lines and a highway bus terminal.

There’s a historic theater district too, it is now a popular nightlife and entertainment area characterized by its eccentric atmosphere and large illuminated signboards.

Shinsaibashi Arcade is the premier shopping area in Osaka, it’s filled with trendy shops, small retail chains and branded boutiques like Daimaru, UNIQLO, H&M, Bulgari, Zara and more. Onitsuka Tiger is also cheap here. You can find many bargains, from clothes, shoes, accessories, beauty products, electronic products and more.

I was too busy roaming around, checking out stuff and eating that I forgot to take a lot of photos. You heard me right, roaming only ha ha ha! I wish I had all the money in the world so I can buy everyone a pasalubong (present). 🙂

If Shinsaibashi is a shopping area, Dotonbori is for dining. There’s an open area, where you can see the most prominent features, a big “Glico Man” billboards that has been a landmark of Dotonbori.

And another famous Dotonbori landmark is the Kani Doraku mechanized crab. They are famous for serving all kinds of crab. Ramen are among the most popular restaurants in Dotonbori too.

It’s a stretch of unbelievable number of restaurants which I go gaga. ha ha ha! It’s also, where you can find one of the nicest branches of Pablo Cheese Tart which I blogged previously.

We had visited the area for two days but still not enough. I would definitely not to miss this place every time I go to visit Osaka.

How to get there from Osaka is easy. It’s just a five-minute walk from Namba Station to the Dotonbori area. And everything is already walkable.

Are you a foodie or shopaholic too? Have you been in this place? I’d love to hear your experience, do share in the comment section below.
