PARKROYAL Loco Local Buffet at Lime Restaurant (Enjoy 15% Off)

Loco Local is such a grand yet affordable treat to celebrate Singapore’s birthday month, savoring our local favorite dishes in a finest culinary upgrade.

I’m amazed how Lime Restaurant team of talented chefs upgraded Singapore’s hawker food with a touch of luxe and abundance of crabs, lobsters, and oysters. Buffet starts from SGD68 per adult (Sunday to Thursday) SGD78 per adult (Friday and Saturday) and child is SGD34 & SGD39 respectively.

Loco Local buffet theme includes the Alaskan King Crab Meat Char Kway Teow, Hokkien Noodles served with Baby Lobster, Lobster Roti Jala and of course, our famous Singapore Chili Crab. The buffet will be complemented by local sweets such as Ice Kacang, Pong Piah, and Mini Assorted Nonya Kuehs. All these and more you can indulge in 4 hours meal.

The open kitchen concept of Lime Restaurant in PARKROYAL on Pickering has caught my eyes too. It added to the feels of hawker culture of preparing food right in front of you. Plus it’s easy to move around and instantly you can spot the buffet spread and decide where to head first.

Alaskan King Crab Meat Char Kway Teow

It’s not your regular Char Kway Teow you can get anywhere as it’s topped with Alaskan King Crab meat, cooked in a wok hei way.

Lobster Hokkien Noodles

This is one of my favorite hawker food, they made it even better not only in taste but also the size and texture of noodles which is stir-fried with slices of pork and prawns, plus the sweet and tender baby lobster on it.

Still my favorite among the spread of food in the buffet.

Steamed Oyster with Three Sauces

I never missed an oyster every time it’s available in the buffet. I used to pair it with lemon and chili but this one is different than the usual.

It’s steamed with three choices of sauces — Thai Chilli, Mala or Sambal Belachan. My top choice is Sambal Belachan, the spiciness is just right with a combination of sweet and sour.

Lobster Roti Jala

Roti Jala is also known as Roti Kirai or “lace pancake”. I like watching how they cook it on the station and swirl it to form its art then roll it to serve.

They served it with lobster on a curry sauce,  a popular Malay food. I rolled the lobster meat into the Roti Jala and the last thing I know I already finished two servings.

Singapore Chili Crab

Local food won’t be complete with this dish, listed as one of the most delicious food in the world.

The sauce is thick and not so spicy, perfect to those who don’t like too spicy Chili Crab. It’s prepared to be sweeter than usual. I ate a lot of Mantou which I happily dipped in the sauce.

Aside from all of the above dishes, there are more other local and non-local food, like Singapore Laksa, Rojak, Pandan Nasi Lemak, Satay, Sushi, Sashimi and A LOT MORE!

Teh Tarik

They complete the Loco Local buffet experience with the array of Singapore desserts and cakes too.

Make your own Ice Kacang at the station with a generous amount of your favorite ingredients and no one will stop you!

The drinks are free flow of Teh Tarik, chilled coconut water and a selection of local beverages.

Amazing that all the local favorites you got to try under one roof with an abundance of crabs, lobsters, and oysters on offer. That’s certainly a LOCO LOCAL!
