I visited the place recently and I wasn’t as surprised as my friend since it isn’t my first time. Who could have thought that there’s a secret lovely garden full of beautiful plants and flowers are hidden inside the Orchard Central Mall?

But I’m very impressed by how they maintained the place as it was when they first opened in September 2018 and made it even prettier. Given that it’s an indoor garden and most are real plants around, there’s so much maintenance to be done. Plus the quality of food and service are well kept too. No wonder there’s still a crowd even it’s pandemic and weekday.

Walking on Sunshine is by far not the best but the ‘one & only’ on this garden-themed Korean salon and cafe combined into one with natural-modern interiors and a relaxing atmosphere. It’s like walking into a botanical garden yet so hipster. It’s FABULOUS and it’s insta-worthy on every corner so thus the food.

Their food is a fusion of Korean and Western. The menu has a wide selection of drinks and food with an all-day brunch meal too. I LOVE IT! So far I haven’t tried any meal that isn’t good, even the salad is good!

I had a good pamper time at the Salon before we indulge in our sumptuous dinner. We enjoyed our time so much, we didn’t realize that there are no more people around except us and the other table across to ours.

In the salon, I did the Miracle Aqua Treatment. It feels so relaxing that it’s cooling not hot, even the hair iron is cold. One of a kind treatment that you need to experience. The head massage is so good too. 

And not to forget to mention the ambiance in the salon. I love how the natural light gets in the salon while there are real (mostly) plants and flowers everywhere.

We had coffee while doing the hair treatment too. I love the Ginseng Coffee Latte. Must-Try!

We had Fried Ginseng as a starter,  It’s a Korean ginseng with Korean frying powder paired with honey, cinnamon powder, and granola honey almond crunch. It’s crisp and not oily. 

KING PRAWN TRUFFLE PASTA ($21.50)

It’s made of angel hair pasta with black tiger prawn and seasoned with shio kombu truffle oil chives.

 

BUTTER GARLIC PIZZA (newly launch)

We tried their newly launch pizza by ordering a bottle of wine, we got a FREE PIZZA. This promotion is until 30th November 2020.

I love that their pizza is filled with prawns and lightly sweeten. I like my pizza not too sweet. Such a perfect match for their house wine.

GINSENG SMOOTHIE ($15)

Aside from the wine, we tried the signature smoothie too. It contains the whole ginseng and it’s caffeine-free. They don’t use powder, it’s made of freshly picked Ginseng.

SIGNATURE SOUFFLE PANCAKES ($20.50)

We ended our dinner with the fluffy signature pancakes topped with fresh fruits and light whipped cream. It melts in the mouth and as yummy as it looks. This serving has three pancakes, you can opt to have 1 or 2.

Walking on Sunshine is A MUST TRY, whether you decide to have your “me time” at the salon or just eat your heart out. Either way, it’s a good place to do so.
