I spent one Sunday walking around from City Hall to Raffles Place just for a little exercise before I grab some lunch. I’m happy that this is something that I can easily do these days because my new place (I already moved to a new flat in case you didn’t know) is just 30 mins away from CDB and less than an hour to work — HooooRaAAy finally!!!

The streets were pretty calm, fewer people around while a gentle sunray touched my skin (which I badly needed for a dose of Vit D) as I walk my way to One Raffles Place.

City Hot Pot, located at the 4h level in One Raffles Place. They occupied one corner in L shape, big enough not to feel squeezy and with the view of Raffles Place.

If you’re working around the area it’s very accessible after work, a good place to satisfy your shabu shabu cravings.

City hot pot has an extensive choice of comforting soup bases that you can’t just find in any shabu shabu places, like fish soup with milk, Korean kimchi soup, herbal chicken and more.

I chose Set B for 2 pax in the menu at S$60.99. It’s inclusive of 2 soups, main course, veggie combo, staples and sauces. There are high-quality Wagyu Chuck Eye Roll, Fresh seafood (fish fillet & prawn), veggies, luncheon meat, pork collar, crab stick, mushroom combo, and prawn paste (which is homemade).

My favorite from the spread is their homemade prawn paste, Wagyu Chuck Eye Roll, and scallops plus my side order of Braised Pork Rice.

City Hot Pot offers a quality spread of everything from veggies to seafood and meats. They are vegetarian-friendly too.
