Staycation: The Ritz – Carlton Millenia Singapore

We were ushered all the way to our room, feeling like Carrie Bradshaw, Samantha Jones, Charlotte York and Miranda Hobbes — hahah! And the moment the big main door opens, all we had to say was “Oh my, WOW! WOW!” and a lot of “Thank Yous”. It was a nganga (jaw dropped) moment.

A much needed break and I was ecstatic to have my dear housemates with me in such a luxury hotel in the heart of Singapore. We spent the first day enjoying the perfect view of our room facing the scenic marina bay skyline. What else could we asked for a staycation? Staying in the room itself with fabulous welcome food and wines are already enough for our relaxation needs.

Our room was a connecting Deluxe Marina. The suite features with separate bedroom with one King & two Twin Beds, spacious living room and study area with expansive work desk, walk-in closet, high-speed wireless internet access, LED TV and an elegant table full of drinks and snacks. And I super love the bathroom with luxury Asprey amenities. It is fully marble with view of iconic Marina Bay Sands, the city and Gardens By The Bay. In addition to that is a separate bathtub, toilet, and shower stall with rainshower feature. The bathroom can be a staycation area already — hahah!

We enjoyed the amenities of Ritz Carlton, from late afternoon swimming and jacuzzi while wine-ing at the hotel pool area, sauna and the gym. I mean we skipped the gym — heheh! That’s the essence of our staycation NO to burning of all the calories we worked so hard to gain. 🙂

I love the cleanliness of the hotel, especially our bedrooms. I love the bed and the bedding is so clean and neat. I think, I can have my staycation on the bed alone too. 🙂

Since, Makansutra is just across the street we headed there for dinner to satisfy our chili crab cravings. Ritz Carlton location is just perfectly near to everything anyone would need. Restaurants & cafes, Malls, Marina Bay area, Bars and tourist spots. But, we intended to spend most of our time in the hotel. RELAX.EAT.WINE.REPEAT.

We were too full after the dinner, so we had a little walk around marina bay area. Then, back to our room, I’ve decided to have a bubble bath. Poured ourselves some wine while relaxing in the bathtub and all night chit-chat with the girls. The next morning, we indulged ourselves in a buffet breakfast. The set of food at the Colony was fantastic. And walk-in guests are welcome too. The same quality of food for lunch and dinner buffets. One of the BEST! 

So far, this is the best staycation of my life with friends. It’s already in my personal Guinness record — heheh!

  2. This is one of my dream staycation! I will surely go “nganga” too, that kind of surreal moment when you finally step your feet in the hotel premises. I am so gonna copy that bathtub moment! Haha!
